• To date, more than 100 human AdV (HAdV) types have been isolated, characterized, and classified into seven species (A to G).
• The two sole members of HAdV species F, HAdV-F40 and HAdV-F41, stand out as the only HAdVs with a pronounced gastrointestinal tropism. These so-called enteric AdVs are a leading cause of diarrhea and diarrhea-associated mortality in young children.

Intended Use

The Detection Kit for Adenovirus (PCR-Fluorescence Probing) is provided for fast and qualitative detection of Adenovirus in samples extracted from swab specimens by means of Real-Time PCR for diagnosis of Adenovirus presence.
